New Delhi; 13.01.2018: Microtron Technologies, a US based technology development company announced that they were the recipient of an award at the recent Start-up Competition at the Energy Storage India conference in New Delhi, India. Held from January 10-12th at India's Habitat Centre in New Delhi, the Energy Storage India (ESI) conference convened leading energy storage solution providers and thought leaders from around the world.
A highlight of the conference was the Start-Up competition. Based on pre-conference applications, a select group of start-ups were selected to present to a panel of venture capitalists and professional investors. Microtron CTO, Chris Thompson, presented on the company's unique graphene energy storage solutions that enable electric vehicles to be charged in under two minutes. Microtron was the 2nd place winner and was selected to present during the closing session on energy storage research.

There is a strong interest in technologies to accelerate adoption of the electric vehicle, particularly technology like Microtron's that would enable electric vehicles to be recharged in just a couple of minutes. Energy Storage India (ESI) 2018 attracted 2000 industry experts, 500 delegates, 100+ speakers, 50+ exhibitors and partners participating from over 25 countries at the India Habitat Centre in Delhi, India from January 10 to 12.
ESI 2018 was supported by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government bodies including Invest India, Start-up India, Skill Council and other industry pioneers such as Fluence, EnerBlu and Delta Electronics. This event opened new doors to accelerate Make in India, EV transformation and much anticipated dream of electricity to all by developing the country as a global manufacturing hub for advanced energy storage technologies.
